Is NavoBook suitable for a marquee or banquet hall?
Yes. The Events & Bookings module keeps each booking as an event with its functions, schedule, staff and equipment, and the money taken for it runs through normal sales and accounting, so the hall knows what is booked and what is owed.
How are advance payments handled?
An advance is recorded as a receipt on the customer’s account against the event. When the final invoice is raised in Sales, the advances are applied to it and only the balance remains to collect.
Can we track the cost of staff and hired equipment per event?
Yes. Staff are allocated to the event by role and their work claims are raised against it through HR, and equipment is recorded either as your own asset or as a hire from a vendor with its rent amount.
Does it work for caterers and planners, not only halls?
Yes. Nothing in the module is specific to one trade. Event types and staff roles are your own, so a caterer, a decorator or a photography studio sets it up in their own words.
